Kristine McCormick

Weaver

Kris developed a free-form style of art weaving called ‘Wildly Woven’. Her fluid designs are created from using natural fibers with a variety of textures, colors, and spontaneous weaving techniques. Kris finds her inspiration through the seasonal landscape changes of the North Fork Valley and the West Elk Range, where she lives in Crawford, Colorado. She also includes visual memory touches she gathered through her travels across the Southwest and Northwest.

Growing up and raising her family in Colorado, Kris is a retired executive manager with over 40 years of corporate experience in both Colorado and Texas. Since retiring and coming back to Colorado full-time, she has dived right into her love of all things “art”. Weaving, especially, has inspired her in a strong way — it’s become her meditation — it speaks to her soul. “The fiber texture forms the landscape, the changing seasons become the palette that defines the colors; it takes me on the most wonderful creative journey.
